ABOUT THE ROLE
SPCA is one of New Zealand's most trusted charities, working to improve animal welfare and advocate for animals in need. Every purchase and donation made through our Op Shops helps fund this important work.
That's why we're looking for two reliable and customer-focused Truck Drivers to support our Auckland Op Shop network by collecting, transporting and delivering donated furniture and goods while helping create positive experiences for our donors, customers and community.
- Truck Drivers (2 Positions Available) – Hobsonville
- Full-Time Opportunity - Part-Time applications considered
- 8:30am to 5:00pm, Full-time, 40 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Sunday
Based in Hobsonville, you'll start and finish each shift from our SPCA Hobsonville Centre while supporting furniture collections and deliveries across Auckland. This is a hands-on role that combines driving, customer service, furniture handling and teamwork, helping ensure donated goods are collected and delivered safely, efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect, transport and deliver furniture and donated goods across Auckland.
- Load, unload and move furniture using safe manual handling techniques.
- Assemble and disassemble furniture when required for transport.
- Plan efficient delivery and collection routes to maximise productivity.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to donors and recipients.
- Complete delivery paperwork and administration accurately and on time.
- Maintain the truck to a high standard, ensuring it remains clean, roadworthy and compliant.
- Assist with general Op Shop operations when not undertaking driving duties.
- Strong computer literacy, including experience using Excel spreadsheets and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

ABOUT YOU
You're reliable, physically fit and enjoy being out on the road while interacting with a wide range of people. You take pride in your work, work safely and efficiently, and understand the importance of delivering great customer service.
What we're looking for
- Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence and confidence driving larger vehicles (manual and auto)
- Experience in a delivery, transport, logistics or furniture handling role.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy furniture and donated goods.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport with donors and customers.
- Comfortable navigating Auckland and planning efficient delivery routes.
- Able to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- Reliable, organised, problem solver and adaptable with a positive can-do attitude.
- Able to travel to and from our Hobsonville site each day.
- Confident using computers, including Excel spreadsheets, email and POS systems.
