Individual Giving Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to lead SPCA’s fundraising across regular giving, appeals, and supporter engagement. This is a senior role for a strategic thinker who can deliver operationally and bring people together to turn plans into real income and impact.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This Individual Giving Manager role is:

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in New Zealand

This is a senior leadership role sitting at the centre of SPCA’s individual giving programme. You’ll lead strategy and delivery across regular giving, appeals, and supporter engagement. Making sure great ideas don’t just stay ideas, but become well-executed, revenue-generating campaigns.

You’ll operate across teams and functions, Marketing, Digital, Data, Supporter Care, and external suppliers. Aligning people, priorities, and timelines so campaigns land well and perform strongly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver SPCA’s individual giving strategy across regular giving, appeals, and supporter engagement activity.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of integrated fundraising campaigns across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Drive donor acquisition, retention, and lifetime value through data-informed and multi-channel fundraising approaches.
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Digital, Data, and Supporter Care teams to ensure effective campaign delivery and supporter experiences.
  • Manage campaign quality, budgets, forecasting, supplier relationships, and operational processes to maximise fundraising performance.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across fundraising activity, donor journeys, and supporter engagement strategies.

You will also bring

  • Significant experience in fundraising leadership, including individual giving and integrated campaign delivery.
  • Strong digital fundraising knowledge with the ability to identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Proven people leadership skills with the ability to coach, influence, and align teams toward shared goals.
  • Strong commercial and financial capability, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and a strong commitment to SPCA’s values and animal welfare mission.
