Veterinarian – SPCA Dunedin
You became a vet because you wanted to make a difference. Not just consult after consult, routine appointments, and ticking through the day, but work that genuinely changes the lives of animals.

You’re compassionate, capable, and calm under pressure. You enjoy the challenge of varied cases, and you care deeply about animal welfare. You might thrive in surgery, enjoy medical case management, or simply love the idea that no two days look exactly the same. One moment you could be performing surgery, the next supporting an animal on its journey to recovery, helping a vulnerable animal get a second chance, or contributing to wider animal welfare outcomes.

You’re the type of person who wants purpose alongside your profession. You want to work somewhere your skills matter and where the impact of your work is visible every day.

At SPCA, every animal has a story, and every member of our team helps create better outcomes. That’s why we’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our Dunedin Centre team.

ABOUT US
The SPCA helps protect over 30,000 animals every year. By rescuing, rehabilitating, sheltering and advocating for animals, we are directly improving their lives. Our Animal Services teams run our 28 Centres, from Kerikeri to Invercargill and they are essential in us being able to do the work we do.
