ABOUT THE ROLE

SPCA Hobsonville is looking for two Customer Service Coordinators to join our team. We’re looking for someone with exceptional communication and customer service skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a friendly, positive attitude.

  • One full time role, 40 hours per week (Sunday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
  • One part time role, 24 hours per week (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday — 8:00 am to 4:30 pm)

As our Customer Service Coordinator, you will be the face of our centre, overseeing the reception area and ensuring our front-of-house operates efficiently and professionally. This role is varied and hands-on, ranging from processing animal adoptions and supporting potential adopters, to triaging animal ambulance calls, scheduling foster appointments, and inducting new foster parents. You’ll also engage with community stakeholders and veterinary partners, representing SPCA with warmth, professionalism, and empathy.

This is a busy, rewarding and fast-paced role where you’ll work alongside like-minded colleagues who make a difference every day.

Duties will include:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service to all SPCA visitors.
  • Providing administrative support, including accurate data entry.
  • Managing enquiries about adoptions, retail, general questions and SPCA services, in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Ensuring members of the public are treated respectfully, empathetically and without judgement.
  • Responding promptly to calls, emails and messages with accurate and supportive information.
  • Working collaboratively to ensure reception runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supporting the SPCA Volunteer Programme to meet organisational goals and align with SPCA values and resources.
  • Adhering to SPCA cash handling and financial procedures.
