ABOUT THE ROLE 🐾
(Internally known as Philanthropy Relationship Manager)
This role is all about people. You’ll connect with our amazing mid-level donors, nurture meaningful relationships, and inspire generosity that grows into long-term giving, legacies and bequests. By building trust and stewarding donor journeys, you’ll help raise vital funds that support animals across New Zealand. It’s meaningful, rewarding, and vital to our future.
Your days will include:

• Building and growing SPCA’s Mid-Level Donor Programme
• Developing strong donor relationships and inspiring philanthropy
• Having authentic, heartfelt conversations (including outbound calling)
• Driving fundraising outcomes that fuel real change for animals
• Reaching (and celebrating!) fundraising goals
• Helping secure legacies and long-term support for our mission

ABOUT YOU 🐾
You’re not just a “people person” you’re someone who builds trust, sparks connection and loves turning relationships into long-lasting impact.
What you bring:

• 3–5 years in donor fundraising, philanthropy or sales/account management
• Confidence with outbound calling and enjoying real conversations
• Motivation to meet or exceed fundraising and donor engagement goals
• Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing pipelines/CRMs
• A big heart for animal welfare and values that align with SPCA
