ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity at our Greymouth SPCA Op Shop for a:
- Casual Op Shop Assistant
- Casual Hours as required to cover leave, busy periods, and weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, price, and merchandise donated goods following SPCA guidelines.
- Keep the shop tidy, welcoming, and fully stocked throughout the day.
- Deliver warm, helpful customer service and assist with sales.
- Accurately handle cash and support daily banking processes.
- Assist in guiding and supporting volunteers during your shift.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and SPCA policies.
ABOUT YOU
You’re enthusiastic, adaptable, and enjoy variety in your work. Whether you’re sorting stock, helping customers, or stepping in for a shift at short notice, you’re always ready to help and happy to be part of a cause that makes a real difference for animals.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.
- A flexible and reliable approach to work weekdays, weekends and short-notice shifts.
- A positive attitude and great communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically able to carry out manual tasks such as lifting and sorting stock.
