Your enthusiasm and dedication will see you:

  • Act as a key member of the centre team and provide excellent customer service to SPCA visitors and ensure all members of the public are treated in a non-judgmental manner, with respect and empathy.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the centre by performing a variety of administrative duties (including data entry) to a high standard.
  • Deal with all incoming enquiries regarding animal adoptions, retail, general enquiries and SPCA services in person, social media, via phone or email.
  • Supporting the Centre Manager as required by ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the animal centre and that Centre standards are maintained.

 

What we need from you:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence in handling animals with varying temperaments and behaviours
  • Experience in administering animal medications (preferred)
  • A friendly, positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities
  • A good understanding of animal welfare (animal handling experience or relevant qualifications are an advantage)
  • Proficiency with computers, including experience using POS systems and processing invoices
  • A high level of empathy and emotional resilience
  • Flexibility and adaptability, including availability to work varied hours
  • A proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
