About the role

• Permanent part-time role
• 24 hours per week, days negotiable between Monday to Friday

We are seeking a fully qualified, experienced vet to join our Dunedin Centre team.

Working closely with a veterinary nurse you will provide high professional standards of veterinary care for animals presented to, and under the care of SPCA. Together you will run our small veterinary clinic within the Dunedin Centre, so will need to be comfortable working unsupervised, with collegial and professional support from our Head Vet at Christchurch when required.

What we need from you:

• An experienced veterinarian with proven clinical skills and professional registration as a vet.
• Experience doing surgical procedures both routine and non-routine.
• Have the ability to work in a high performance, fast paced environment.
• Have excellent communication and time management skills.
• Be a self-motivated team member, who is enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare.
• Be a quick thinker who is skilled at multi-tasking and able to prioritise and effectively manage workloads.
• Demonstrate empathy and resilience.
