ABOUT THE ROLE
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a bright and energetic individual to join our SPCA Mangere team as a Customer Service Representative. This full-time, permanent position is key to creating a welcoming, customer-first environment at our reception areas and ensuring every visitor has a positive experience.
 

What you’ll do:

  • Welcoming customers with a smile—in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Create an engaging, customer-first atmosphere at both the front and hospital receptions.
  • Assist with adoption and admission processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Handle administrative tasks and data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keep the reception area organised, welcoming, and stocked with retail and donated items.
  • Support volunteers and foster a positive, team-focused culture.
  • Manage customer inquiries and concerns with empathy, warmth, and a solutions-focused approach.

 

ABOUT YOU
You are a natural communicator with a passion for animal welfare and a genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being the first point of contact, making every interaction count.
 

What you’ll bring:

  • A personable and professional demeanor with the ability to make people feel at ease.
  • Organisational skills to ensure smooth and efficient operations at reception.
  • Empathy and resilience when handling emotional situations.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using databases, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to SPCA’s mission.
  • Bonus points if you have animal handling experience or a qualification in animal care!
